Making your goals clear will surely help you decide which style to practice. Are you looking for championships or the Olympic medals? Or just to defeat the others who try to hurt you. Your goal must be clear.
Sometimes I practice some style to have more control on my self and to reduce impulsiveness. For me kung fu – Sanda help me to be more knowledgeable, open-minded, creative, and innovative; and it gives me a hand to defeat diabetes which I had since 1999. Using my "Sand Bag" for kicks and punches for 15 minutes each training is enough for me to overcome any negative feelings and it refreshes me.
No need to be an expert in martial arts to do that, just hit a sandbag for 5 minutes, and tell me your feeling after that, we all have the same pressures, we all have the same troublesome life, do not fed up, bring your Sand Bag, and hit it like me in the video. It will make you relax and ready to face more pressures.
I have a social experience with Sand Bag where I was the head of a section in a media firm; that means a lot of employees to manage, a lot of missions to accomplish and a lot of problems to face. most of these problems have no solution except patience and waiting.
"I have a headache", "I am fed up" I can describe these days in my office by these two sentences, but martial arts gave me the solution, I brought my Sand Bag and hanged it, I hit it when necessary, my colleges in office did the same, the situation in the office changed completely.
